Who could ask for a better daddy. Chad was still gone on actual Valentines Day and last year he and one of our best friends started a tradition of taking the girls out for a daddy daughter valentine date. They go to UNO's Pizza downtown and then go for a carriage ride and end up night with getting ice cream. They get each other valentines and it is a VERY special memory. So of course Chad wasn't going to miss this even if he had worked 90 plus hours that week. He got up on Saturday worked 1/2 day and then drove 4 hours to make the date.
The only thing different this year was that Jax was so heart broken that Daddy was going with Emmie. Even though I told him that he and I would go out for a date and start our own tradition, and he wasn't having it. So Chad did what any dad would do he packed him up and took him with him. They had a WONDERFUL time, what great memories.
On a side note, Carol and I went to dinner and did a little shopping! Happy Valentines Day to me!

After Lunch we decided to head out and play. So after I felt like the mom in A Christmas Story we went out for some fun. We built a snowman, had a snow ball fight and made snow angels. What a fun day, once we came in they wanted some hot chocolate. Em loved hers and Jax man said "mama, it is all dirty" so cute!
This was the morning of our biggest snow in North Texas. The kids were addressing their Valentines for school. Jax thought he was super cool because he was getting to do what Em was doing. Emmie thought she was cool because she was getting to sign her name put them together her self.
