A white Christmas, what a great surprise. It stuck to the ground which no one expected. We left my mom and dad's house with plenty of time to make it to Christmas Eve service. But mother nature had a mind of her own, we sat in the car on Hwy 377 for 4 hours. Needless to say we didn't make it to church and we didn't even have a good Christmas Eve dinner. We got in at 8:00 feed the kids chicken nuggets and got ready for Santa. We put out our milk and cookies (that were cooked and decorated specifically for the big man), put the reindeer food out in the yard and got Rudolf some water. Of course we read Twas the Night Before Christmas then it was off to bed. The next morning I heard Emmie in her room at about 7:30. When I walked in she was looking out her window and said "Mom, Santa left foot prints in the yard and they are going around the house". She also said that it looked like Gracie left some in the back. Hum, how did she know that Gracie had left some? I know that she did not go into the living room because we specifically told her NOT to go in there until she came and got us. Yep she was caught, so we went and got Jax and Daddy and headed off to see what Santa had brought. But Emmie already knew!!!!

After all the playing and putting together happened we got all bundled up and went out to play in the snow. We made snow men and had snow ball fights, it was so much fun.

Later that night Gammy and Pop came to check out what the kids got and ate dinner with us. We ate our chili and had Birthday Cake for Jesus. We are so very Thankful to be able to celebrate God's birth of his only son. This is very important for us to teach Emmie and Jax that Santa is fun but the birth of Jesus is really what it is all about. We give to others to show to celebrate the birth of Christ. Jax was of course clueless but I really think Emmie got it this year, she keeps asking "How old Jesus is". So sweet.

Saturday, Daddy finished putting the swing set together. Papa came down and helped Daddy move it to the backyard from the shop! Thanks Daddy and Papa for helping Santa out!
We had a great and memorable Christmas! Looking forward to 2010!!!
