Real or Fake?

Real of course!

For the last two years we have gone and cut down our own Christmas Tree. We have a blast doing this, last year we went to Mingus and this year we went to Mainstay Farms in Burleson. It was GREAT! The weather was cold and misty, when we got there we got right on a covered trailer and headed out to the fields of trees. We searched and searched and finally found "the one". Chad grabbed the saw and got to cutting. Once it was down we flagged the trailer back down and went back to the playground while they got our tree down to the pick up line. The kids played in the big tree house and slide down several slides, went through a maze and rode bikes. Once we were frozen and finished playing we made it down to the barn and paid for our tree. Chad loaded up the kids while I got us some goodies for the ride home. Jax slept, Em ate her Reindeer Grub and we headed home to decorate the tree.

When Chad got the tree out in the stand and in the house we started the ritual of the lights and ornaments. Emmie was all over it and wanted the story that came with each ornament. Jax on the other hand was more interested in playing with them all. He did not want any part of putting them on the tree. At the very end Emmie said "Ok, it is time to all hold hands and sing like we did last year" we didn't do this last year but sure. So we did and sang "Oh Christmas Tree". Whew it was exhausting but great fun!
